I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later but what happened to the Old Fogey today was a monumental occurrence. A Eureka moment. A seizmic shift. The light bulb came on. He is going around shame faced because he has had to fess up. Eat crow. Blush brightly.

We've said Nomic mirrors the legislative process but it doesn't, really. What it mirrors is the intention of the people who first proposed democracy: that laws would be openly discussed by reasonable (and a few slightly (divinely) mad) people.

Nomic Proposal 308

A team may filibuster as long as they post new comments once every hour. If the team fails to post a new comment every hour after the filibuster is invoked, they are penalized 5 points and the filibuster ends. They may also end the filibuster at anytime themselves.
